Civil law rarely makes the front pages, yet sooner or later it touches everyone's life: the family, work, the home, contracts, business, health, and the consequences of a wrongful loss.
I have practised law since 1995. I believe in advocacy that is competent, independent and accountable: able to understand before judging, to advise against pointless litigation, and to recognise the cases genuinely worth fighting to the end.
Justice can be slow and imperfect, but a well-founded claim, pursued with preparation and determination, can still prevail. When a wrong is actually put right, the law ceases to be an abstract principle: it returns to bear, concretely, on people's lives.
